Global Genes, in partnership with the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine Orphan Disease Center, will host the 2018 RARE Patient Advocacy Symposium in Philadelphia on May 19th, 2018.

This one-day agenda focuses on the patient’s role in the drug development process and is for both beginner and advanced advocates. There will be two tracks this year for several of the sessions and one track will be geared towards beginners and the second track will be a little more advanced. Approximately 150 attendees comprised of patient advocates, corporate, government, academia, and researchers are expected to participate in this year’s event.

Allison Moore, HNF’s CEO, will lead one of the sessions on: New and Continuing Roles for Patients in Research and Drug Development.
