Thank you for being part of our 2026 CMT Summit, our biggest gathering yet, with over 200 attendees coming together to connect, learn, and inspire one another. We are grateful for each and every one of you who helped make this weekend truly special.
We extend our deepest gratitude to NMD Pharma and their CEO, Thomas Holm Pedersen, PhD, for their generous partnership and unwavering support of the CMT Summit. Their commitment to advancing CMT research, developing life-changing therapies, and moving us closer to a cure along with Dr. Pedersen’s inspiring keynote set the tone for an incredible weekend.
Our sponsors represent the full ecosystem of CMT progress from biotech and pharma innovators advancing research and developing therapies, to technology and mobility partners dedicated to improving everyday life for those living with CMT. We are incredibly grateful for their support in making the 2026 CMT Summit possible.
A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful speakers, panelists, clinical, and regulatory partners for their dedication to enhancing CMT clinical trial readiness with patients as true partners at the center of it all. A special recognition to Sheba Bergman, PhD for her outstanding work as our Day 1 Emcee, keeping the energy and momentum going throughout the weekend. Together, we are working to advance patient-centered research, define what matters most to patients, and strengthen real-world data, outcomes, and endpoints.
We are proud to announce the conclusion of our 3-year Adult Longitudinal Wearable Study, conducted in partnership with BioSensics, with results to be shared later this year. To every participant your contribution is making a real impact, and we are deeply grateful.
Our Pediatric Longitudinal Wearable Study, also in partnership with BioSensics, is now in its second year and growing, with 18 kids currently enrolled. Our goal is to enroll 25+ more at the 2027 CMT Summit to continue building the evidence base needed for pediatric CMT studies.
200+ attendees across the full summit
88 biospecimens donated to the CMT BioBank
14 new pediatric participants enrolled in the wearable study
33 participants in hearing screening
This year, we were proud to introduce hearing as a new focus area, an often underrepresented symptom in the CMT community. In partnership with SHOEBOX, and led by Amy Fraser, PhD and Renée Lefrançois, Au.D, we are exploring whether hearing loss could serve as an endpoint in future CMT trials and what early intervention care might look like for patients. This data will be shared broadly with our community as we work to better understand and address this important aspect of living with CMT.
As always, HNF was proud to offer complimentary evaluations by leading clinicians in surgery and bracing. Dr. Glenn Pfeffer conducted 22 surgery consultations, while Mitch Warner, CPO and Ken Cornell, CO took on dozens of bracing consultations. We are incredibly grateful for their time, expertise, and dedication to our community.
Thank you to all the attendees!
