Congratulations to Chris Wodke, manager of Team CMT, who placed second in the Mobility Impaired Division of the 2012 Boston Marathon on April 16!
Di also did something special for Team CMT. “I took my body to the absolute limit yesterday, Sunday, April 15th, in honor of Chris Wodke’s Boston Marathon run which took place the next day. I walked (no jogging or running) in one direction and had my husband pick me up when I couldn’t go any further.”
Morgan Johnson doesn’t have Charcot-Marie-Tooth, but she is quickly learning everything she can about it.
As manager of Team CMT and in partnership with The Hereditary Neuropathy Foundation, Chris intends to use this opportunity to raise awareness about CMT on a grander scale.
“I call Charcot-Marie-Tooth a blind disease because you can’t see it. People say I look fine and can’t understand that I have a problem.
Recently, the 42 year old mom of three joined Team CMT- Richmond hoping to spread awareness and raise funds for research and a cure.
The Richmond, Va branch of Team CMT, Richmond, VA will participate in the American Family Fitness Half Marathon on Saturday, November 10, 2012. Team CMT will be running on behalf of the Hereditary Neuropathy Foundation to raise awareness of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease.
Parents Lori and Jim and children Kaitlyn and Jacob are committed to increasing CMT awareness in their community.
“America’s Friendliest Marathon,” held in Richmond, VA this past weekend, included some important friends of the Hereditary Neuropathy Foundation who ran to raise awareness of Charcot-Marie-Tooth and to generate funds for research to find a cure.
