Marnee McKay is from the University of Sydney; she is an early career researcher and Sports Physical Therapist with over 20 years of clinical experience. Her research focuses on reference standards and outcome measure development to enhance global clinical trial readiness for emerging disease-modifying therapies targeting neuromuscular disorders. Marnee leads the 1000 Norms Project, the world’s largest database of physical function outcome measures, which informs whole-of-life functional assessments and powers clinical trial endpoints such as the CMTPedS, CMTInfS, and CMT-FOM. Committed to open-access translation, these outcome measures are freely shared via ClinicalOutcomeMeasures.org. Expanding reference standards, Marnee co-leads MuscleMap, an AI-driven MRI initiative defining normative muscle composition. As a recognised expert in outcome assessment, she leads national and global collaborations advancing precision in diagnosis, intervention, and disease monitoring.
