My daughter’s visit was wonderful. She quickly learned the basics of RVing and was quite helpful. We ventured from Red Rock Country in Arizona to the Grand Canyon, up through Utah including Monument Valley where they filmed many westerns, and ultimately to the Rocky Mountain National Park, our favorite.
Once in Colorado, I stopped at a few marijuana dispensaries for the legal purchase of select medicinal marijuana. I’ve been staying at a campsite adjacent to the start of the Colorado River and right off of Trail Ridge Road, one of the most spectacular drives I’ve experienced. The road (not for the fainthearted) winds its way from a glacial valley to alpine tundra at an altitude of greater than 12,000 feet. The park is teeming with wildlife. We got to see moose, deer (my dog excitedly jumped out of my Jeep window at the sight of them), and plenty of elk – some only mere yards from my RV.
I’m starting to make my way back east, with plan to return to the Philadelphia area by mid-July to begin house hunting. I’ll use a VA home loan to purchase a one floor house, with a big backyard where my silly dog can run around and I can plan my next adventure.
