September is CMT Awareness Month – Help HNF Spread the Word

by | Aug 31, 2013 | 0 comments

CMT Awareness month is here. This is our chance to get more people talking about CMT than ever before. At HNF we have dedicated our lives to raising awareness about CMT, so we’d like to spend the month sharing what we’ve learned. We hope that you’ll take the information we’re posting and share it with your friends and family.

1 in 2 people have never heard of CMT. It’s time to change that!

Throughout the month of September, we’ll be sharing information from all four pillars of HNF:

  • Awareness – HNF partners with some of the most creative and inspiring voices in the CMT community to spread the word through books, documentaries and more.
  • Research – through our Therapeutic Research in Accelerated Discovery (TRIAD) program, HNF works with academia, government and industry to develop treatments for CMT.
  • Education – HNF is working with organizations such as Athena and AANEM to educate the medical community on CMT, an important step towards diagnosis and treatment.
  • Support – the only way a non-profit like HNF can function is through the generous support of its community and we are so grateful to our amazing donors.

We are excited to spend the next 30 days spreading the word far and wide about “the biggest disease no one has heard of”. We can’t do this alone, so help us out by following us on Facebook and Twitter to get daily, bite sized updates that you can share with your friends and family. Join our CMT Inspire Community to connect with others affected by CMT. You can also sign up on our homepage to receive updates from HNF by email and text.
